Opportunities present themselves in form of challenges and often its in finding the solution to those challenges that one is inspired to take on the world and become an entrepreneur.
For Tess, the opportunity presented itself 8 years ago in form of needing to finance a property. After a frustrating roller-coaster ride of over-promising and under-delivering, she put her previous banking experience and 3 years accounting to good use and obtained the require finance on her own accord. Having identified the need for assistance in working through the red-tape of the banking industry, she founded Property Factor.
Under Tess’ guidance Property Factor has grown to be recognized as a serious contender in the mortgage finance industry. Tess’ expertise and opinion on the property market is often sort after and she has been published in several newspapers including Business Day and The Weekend Argus. Her articles have also appeared in glossy exclusive periodicals such as Pearl Valley, Living in the Western Cape and Living in Gauteng.
Her Latin passion, firm belief that excellence and distinction is achieved only through hard work, perseverance and honesty, has led Tess to become a finalist in the Business Woman of the Year Regional Achiever Awards in 2004. In 2005, she received a nomination in Cape Times / KPMG personality of the year, editor’s choice awards. In 2007, Tess was made a honorary member of UWC Golden Key Honorary Society.
Tess is committed to creating an organization that differentiates itself by placing its relationship with property buyers first and foremost. She keeps her finger on the pulse of the industry by remaining actively involved in processing applications, advising clients and mentoring her colleagues.
